Get Kiwis Working

An initiative by Goodnest and Sir Stephen Tindall to get Kiwis working for Kiwis in a post-covid environment

1 December 2020

Thank you New Zealand for contributing to the Get Kiwis Working initiative, where we set out to leave a positive mark on the nationwide recovery effort during the 2020 global pandemic.

Some statistics:

  • 2000+ new workers signed up
  • 3500+ jobs posted

From today, the initiative has come to an end. Goodnest has resumed it's paid service and will look to 2021 to go from strength to strength.

A final thank you to Sir Stephen Tindall and The Tindall Foundation for making this possible.

With the impact of Covid-19 and the rise in unemployment, literally thousands of people around New Zealand are out of work and need income. At the same time, there are people with available work around their homes or have one off type jobs in small and medium sized businesses.

Sir Stephen Tindall came to Goodnest with the idea to connect these people and get them into paid work. With our shared ambition to help our communities get working again we've reconfigured the Goodnest model to be free to use.

Our original Home Cleaning category will not change. More than ever we're committed to our cleaners, and pay the Living Wage. Our cleaning customers will continue to pay the same.

This initiative has been made possible with the support of Sir Stephen Tindall and The Tindall Foundation.
