End of Tenancy Clean Questions & Answers

Whenever you’re moving into a new rental, we all know the struggle of the dreaded end of tenancy clean. Wiping the skirting boards, washing the walls, washing the ceilings and cleaning the windows are all required when leaving a flat in order to get your deposit back. The good news is it’s now even easier to say goodbye to those pesky tasks and hire a reliable and efficient cleaner. Goodnest can help connect you to reliable professionals in your area who can make your flat look even cleaner than the day you moved in.

Goodnest cleaners are reliable, trustworthy and affordable. We’ve been doing this for a while, so from experience and based on 100’s of jobs, we’ve created a price list of various end of tenancy cleaning jobs so you know what to expect when hiring a cleaner.

How much do cleaning services cost?

You may have been using the same cleaner for the last few years but it doesn’t mean you’re getting the best bang for your buck. We’ve put together a comprehensive list of services and estimated pricing on each cleaning service. Please note, these prices should only be used as a guide and quotes will vary based on the actual property and individual work performed.

Pricing estimates:

  • Oven clean: $30 - $120
  • Single room: $60 - $200
  • Bathroom: $40 - $100
  • 2-bedroom home: $80 - $300
  • 3-bedroom home: $150 - $500
  • 4-bedroom home: $250 - $650

How will a professional charge me?

This will depend on a variety of factors.

  • Labour charge - this is a fixed rate, exclusive of GST, usually between $20 and $50 per hour. There tends to be a minimum first-hour charge.
  • Parts and materials - Generally cleaning equipment and products are included in the price, however it is best to clarify before hiring your pro.
  • Specialist equipment costs - if your job requires special equipment such as a carpet cleaner there may be extra charges. Make sure to discuss the pricing with your professional beforehand.
  • Travel cost (this may be included in the labour charge) - if the cleaner charges travel costs, this is usually a fixed rate depending on the area you live. Just clarify with your professional if travel time is included in their hourly rate.
  • GST - the total of 1, 2, 3 and 4 above will be added, and GST (15%) charged on the total (if applicable).

Most cleaners accept a range of payment methods, including:

  • Direct debit (Internet Banking)
  • Cheque
  • Cash with Invoice
