Hi there, I had pleasure engaging Goodnest on numerous occasions, as the personnel they hired me were good enough to perform the tasks. Consequently I informed my friends to use Goodnest for the small jobs, rather than hiring by themselves. However, the trimming and removal done by Coedean Phillips recommended by Goodnest was a big disappointment. He has done only part of the agreed scope of work in the sum of $700.00 and not bothered to complete the agreed scope of work. He made his first visit with his wife worked for 3 hours and requested me to pay an advance. I paid him $200.00 and agreed a date for his second visit, leaving all rubbish in front of my house. Then he made a second visit with a tipping guy and took all the rubbish, working less than an hour. During this visit he demanded me to pay $400.00, as he wanted to pay the tipping guy, immediately. Although I was aware that he has to complete 40% of the balance work, I paid him $400.00 in good faith expecting him to perform the balance work, as agreed. The total work would take a maximum period of only 6 hours, to complete all trimming and removal. Then he gave me an appointment at 3.00pm for his third visit on last Saturday the 21st December 2020. As he had not turned up until 4.00pm I contacted him to check his availability. He said that he was about to complete the job he currently involved in and he will visit my place soon. As I had an appointment to coach bridge lessons at a price of $125.00 to a batch of 5 people from 7.00pm, I contacted him again around 6.00pm, to check his availability. He said that he will be completing his current commitment soon to visit my residence. I waited till 6.30pm and sent him a text to check his availability. As I had over paid him he sent me a text stating that he is not interested as it’s not worth his visit. I had an alternative plan to send a friend of mine to coach the batch and because of the disappointment I let my friend to substitute, losing my revenue of $125.00. If Coedean would have informed me in advance that he will not complete the job then, I might have minimised my loss. Consequently, my wife asked me to contact Goodnest to receive compensation as below. Outstanding amount on tree trim and removal $700.00 X 40% = $280.00 Loss of revenue to Prem on bridge coaching $125.00 Total amount of losses $405.00 Less balance amount on agreed price of $700.00 ($100.00) Money owe by Coedean to Prem $305.00 I believe Goodnest will take necessary action to get me $305.00to me.
